Calathea concinna 'Freddie' has beautiful, light green leaves with dark green veins that form a herringbone pattern. Calatheas are part of the Marantaceae family, often called ‘Prayer Plants’ because as the light changes in the evening, the leaves rise upwards like two hands in prayer. We’ve potted this one with our tropical soil blend in a handmade ceramic pot by local artist, Bianca Williams. The pot includes a filtered drainage hole for easy watering.
LIGHT Prefers medium to bright, indirect light, but will tolerate lower light conditions. Too much sun will cause the leaves to burn or fade.
WATER Keep the soil consistently moist. Water with filtered, distilled or rainwater when possible as these plants are particularly sensitive to chemicals in tap water. Enjoys added humidity from misting the foliage.
SIZE Approximately 10"H X 10"W (Pot Size: 4.5" D)
